Just finished watching a fascinating interview with Tim Ferriss (Four Hour Work Week, Four Hour Body) and photographer Chase Jarvis where they discuss creativity and entrepreneurship. I'm a HUGE fan of Tim and had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of months ago in San Francisco at a film premiere. This is a long video interview so I've listed below some of the points I took from it as a cheat sheet. Oh and there is a scantily clad woman at the end of the film.

Cheat Sheet
-
Spend 80% of your time on creating great content and 20% marketing it, not the other way around.
-
Tim reads 'The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing' before each product launch.
-
Focus on the principles not the techniques.
-
Give away some of your best work for free.
-
The people that download Tim's books from torrent sites are not the kind of people that would ever buy it so Tim just views it as promotion.
-
Tim doesn't think of building his network in order to sell more books but writing books in order to meet influential and cool people.
-
What you fear most is what you most need to do.
-
Your Network is your Net Worth.
-
For the first 60minutes of every day ignore everything else (email, calls) and do the single most important thing on your to do list.
-
When hiring test for reliability first.
-
Focus on appreciation as much as achievement.
-
You are the average of the five people you associate with most. Choose your peer group wisely.
-
Apply the 80/20 rule to everything you do.
-
Ask yourself what you could be the first person in the world to do?
