Just had a very enjoyable couple of days playing drums with Martin Taylor's Spirit of Django in Scotland. Our first show was in the pretty Victoria town of Strathpeffer and we were treated to some fabulous Highland hospitality by friends Duncan & Joan Kennedy.
On Thursday night we played a sell-out show at Glasgow's Old Fruitmarket as part of the Glasgow International Jazz Festival.
Today's Scotsman newspaper carries a four star review of the show and afterwards we headed to Arta to celebrate accordionist Jack Emblow's 80th birthday. Jack is a joy to work with and you can see why he has been so in demand over the years by artists including The Beatles, KD Lang, Henri Mancini and Elton John.
Looking forward to our shows in Italy and the UK over the summer months.
