Leading Private Bank engages top keynote speaker James Taylor to inspire Middle East team

The client is one of the world’s oldest and largest private banks. Through their worldwide offices they provide wealth management advice to private clients.

Their Middle East leadership team decided to organise a two-day offsite that would bring together all of the firms relationship managers, investment advisors, and administration team members. The overall theme of the offsite event was around collaboration. Day one was focused on teambuilding and then James Tayor was invited to deliver the keynote on day two as well as join a panel discussion with executives from the firm.

As this was the first time James Taylor had spoken at an event for this client it required that in addition to two pre-event calls and a keynote walkthrough in advance of the event, he also spent additional time researching the history of the firm. This enabled him to connect his keynote theme of ‘collaboration’ to the culture and current strategy of the firm. The client also made available to James Taylor the company’s style guide and high-quality branded photography that could be incorporated into the presentation to ensure it was on-brand and on-message.

James Taylor’s final keynote used a powerful cold-open story to quickly engage the 150 person audience, this was then followed by examples of how other companies in various industries used concepts such as catalytic questions, psychological safety, innovation kickboxes, and circles of trust to break down silos and improve team collaboration.
