The Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) is a governmental authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that was established by a royal decree in July 2000. It falls under the Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development. HADAF is mainly concerned with providing financial support to organizations that train and qualify Saudis in the private sector.
HADAF conduct career fairs for job seekers registered with the National Labor Gateway ‘Taqat’, which is in cooperation with private sector entities that offier career opportunities. At these career fairs, employers sign contracts with Saudi men and women who attended career education programs.
The event organiser for these career fairs was NEFAL, a pioneer in the field of training of people and a provider of training programs and consulting services in the country. NEFAL invited James Taylor to give a 60 minute speech at the Riyadh ‘Leqaat’ event at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. The event is attended by thousands of graduates and employers each year.
James Taylor delivered a 60 minute keynote speech on creativity, innovation and the future of work and why creativity is an increasingly important job skill. There was also an extensive Q&A session where James answered questions from graduates, academics, officials and employers in the audience on how they could best adapt to change.
