Have you explored your unconventional creative side?
One thing that kills creativity and originality fastest is thinking in a very conventional way. However originality is necessary but not sufficient to live a creative life. It's really useful to have conventions and social norms in the way we work. At some point though you need to be able to break out of conventionality and have a flexibility of mind, a plasticity of mind to be able to do something different.
